Okay, my turn! Building on the original 1 Kit, 3 Challenges post from my partner in paper Cheryl, here is what I created …
I ordered Scraptastic’s September 2013 We Are Family Kit. It is really cute and I was impressed overall with their online info, order form, shipping and packaging. For just under for just under 30 dollars it came with 6 12×12 pattern paper, 6 12×12 cardstock and a whole host of embellishments (including letters, die cuts, flair badges, sugar picks, labels and note cards). Each kit includes pieces from numerous product lines. The We Are Family Kit included Teresa Collins, Basic Grey, My Mind’s Eye, Jillibean Soup, Bazzill, Carta Bella and more. It is a great way to see how well different products can come together. The kit shipped on time and was packaged really well so everything arrived in great condition and well organized. Getting a ‘present’ in the mail was part of the excitement.
Here is a quick snapshot of the contents of the September 2013 We Are Family Kit:
Challenge No 1: Sketchbook 365 – this is a sketch blog out of the United Kingdom and they offer really fun sketches and have a great design team. Here is a photo of the Sketchbook 365 sketch:
I had a lot of fun with this sketch and the kit on this one. It was a sign from the scrapbook goddess that this was the layout for me! The sketch has the three wee hearts floating on the background paper and my kit came with wee wood hearts. A scrapbook sign! Here is my take on the Sketchbook 365 sketch using the Scraptastic Club kit:
Challenge No 2: The Studio Amanda Jones Designs – this is a challenge blog, and is one of many online goodies offered by Amanda. She also offers an online store, classes and more from her main website Amanda Robinson Studio. I really like her style. Here is a photo of her November sketch:
Okay and here is my take on the sketch. It was a bit intimidating using such small photos (and having to cut mine down so much to meet this size) but I think it really worked out really well for these pictures.
Challenge No 3: Once Upon A … Sketch – this is a challenge blog and, wow, do they have some talented design team. The mixed media and blossom work these ladies do is impressive and so fun. Here is the December 2013 challenge sketch:
Well here I go and, wow, did I have fun. Of all three this was my favourite sketch to work with. This might have more to do with me giggling every time I look at this picture. What you maybe can’t see in the picture is the failed selfies I have tucked behind this main photo – too funny!
Next kit, next challenge(s) – here I come. Have fun!
