STAR(dust) WARS!

So fun right! If you didn’t get to play along in March NO PROBLEM -just add it to your April Sketches To DO list, cause it is a good one!

For 2020 I want to really add more of my personality into my pages! I love to doodle so why not work at making my own embellishments from time to time right?! Inspired by the picture of us at the new Star Wars ride in Disneyland I doodled some Star Wars characters on the hexagons!

Here’s a little close up:

I’m still a little unsure about the doodling BUT is it really different from journalling in your own handwriting? There aren’t too many scrapbooker’s I know that really like their handwriting enough to be comfortable journalling on their pages (i being one of them). However we suck it up and do so cause it is so important to have that element of yourself telling the story! So I guess doodling really shouldn’t be much different?! Here to hoping the more I do the more I like it and it becomes a lot more comfortable.

Now for positioning, here is a pic of my take in the making, i swapped things around a MILLION times.. but just kept struggling with the lay out :

Something wasn’t looking right so I asked my sister @brandedavison for her opinion. She suggested to flip it around so I did as told, liking it much better!

I also added on these adorable stars from Spiegel Mom Scraps – Gold Stardust pack! Yup glued each and ever little star all over my page… BUT i love the result so worth the effort!

I would really encourage a visit to their website www.spiegelmoscraps.com, she has come up with some amazing goodies to “Spread the Sparkle”. And you might also notice our very own Scrapstorian sister in scrap Brande Davison is a on the design team! (total sister plug) She has done some amazing things with shaker boxes and sparkle spreading! Check out some of her magic posts on our home page!
