Creating with sketches is one of our favourite ways to approach a new layout here amongst the Scrapstorians. Usually we are playing with 12×12 traditional sketches but we also dabble in Traveler’s Notebooks sketches too – our favourites are the ones WeiWei shares on Instagram.

Here is a look at WeiWei’s latest sketch challenge:

Brande challenged me to create a 12×12 take on the sketch. Oh yes! Challenge accepted!

Keeping with the beach theme for our family Hawaii vacation book I decided on the Summer Days collection from Simple Stories for these photos! I don’t usually go to the softer colours but Simple Stories has a way of making different colours and patterns work for me in all their collections! So here is my take….

Rosa, our resident Traveler’s Notebook creative, plays with WeiWei’s sketches on a regular basis and knocks them out of the park – this time around was no exception.

Rosa used goodies from her most recent The Wild Hare Kits kit (another Scrapstorian favourite) – dabbling into pinks which is outside of her usual green, grey and navy comfort zone. We love it!
