Let’s Get Sketchy – Woof Life by Brande

The fun with this month’s Let’s Get Sketchy Sketch challenge here on Scrapstorian wraps up with me! I am the last one of our crew to show off how fun this sketch was to play with.

This is the Let’s Get Sketchy November sketch we are playing with:

Now here is my take on the sketch:

As you can see I stuck pretty close to the sketch – I find I do that a lot with Let’s Get Sketchy especially when their sketches feature 2 or more photos! I love a good multi photo layout and their sketches hit the mark every time. Yahoo Brenshevia!

I was excited to document the bond between my nephew and our pup Bella Bean – we live a Province away from my nephew so don’t see him often enough but no matter how long it has been there is an immediate bond between these two punks! I absolutely love that about my nephew (amongst a whole list of other things that make him so super special).

For this layout I pulled out my some Cocoa Vanilla Studio, You Rock collection – I find it is the perfect colour and design for the age/ stage my nephew is at right now. That age were he is not a little boy anymore but also not a teenage yet (yikes!). The colours also gave me a good excuse to use some of the black and white Dog Hashtag flair from Humble & Create I have maybe, sorta, a little bit been hoarding! Topped off with some Cocoa Vanilla enamel dots, little plus signs from Bella Blvd and some Shimmerz Paints splatters too.

I love how it turned out! The use of the two little images instead of the second larger photo makes me happy! The one photo is just of Bella’s tail – she was so excited to be in the water she couldn’t stand still. Love that!

If you have not had a chance and are looking for some more sketch inspiration, check out: Rosa’s Travelers Notebook (TN); Shar’s 12×12 circle infused; and Cheryl’s 12×12 lessons from the trail layouts! We all made such different takes on the sketch.

Thanks so much for stopping by – happy crafting!
