Let’s Get Sketchy – Caution by Rosa

All of us Scrapstorian gals were together for a whole weekend this month! A weekend scrapbook retreat / crop in beautiful Canmore, Alberta – we try and hit this retreat a couple times a year in late Spring and Fall and we soak up every second of the crafting, laughing, and connecting!

While together we encourage each other to participate in challenges either online or that we make up – one of the challenges all 4 of us played with while on retreat is the November sketch from Let’s Get Sketchy, here is the sketch:

Rosa was the first of the Scrapstorian family to tackle this one and she rocked it! She is working on a Traveler’s Notebook (TN) of our recent adventure to Scotland and this sketch transitioned wonderfully to that format – we are finding all LGS sketches do, thanks Brenshevia for your sketch super powers!

Here is Rosa’s TN take on the sketch:

Instead of just using some strips of or a piece of pattern paper in the corners like the sketch suggests, Rosa created a flipped back corner – love how this looks. Any excuse to use one of our favorite products, the Tim Holtz, Tiny Attacher!

Rosa also used some Bo Bunny, Back to Basics paper (which she found on the retreat share table – score!), some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins (what layout is complete without a bit of bling?) and some Shimmerz Paints, Creameez – Oaky Dokey (we love that watercolor smooshing can be found on 99% of the layouts Rosa creates – it’s her signature TN style!).

We love how she clustered the sequins! Doesn’t that look just fantastic! I also spy some fussy cutting!

Great take Rosa! Shar, Cheryl’s and my take will be up on our blog here and our Facebook and Instagram social media accounts in the coming days too. We are excited to share.

Hope you have a chance to get your craft on this weekend!
