Well hello there!

When I came across this picture of my boy and his furry cousin Lady Jane (RIP) I just felt the love flowing from this picture. The two of them cuddled up napping on my sisters Brande’s couch I could just envision waves of love across the room and I wanted to express that somehow.

Inspired by the colour blocking techniques Brande (speaking of my sister) has been rocking on several of her last posts combined with our fav technique – smooshing … I smooshed the Shimmerz Paints, Creameez to mimic a flow from the hearts across the page. And I hate to tooty-toot-toot my own horns but I am so very pleased with the result! It is exactly what I envisioned and when a vision and a layout actually come together like that… I CELEBRATE!

The Creameez paint type by Shimmerz (colours Ride the Tide, Refresh Mint and Boogie Boardin Blue) worked like magic on Vicki Boutin’s Heavyweight Foundations Mixed Media Art Paper!

For the embellies, I attacked my stash, channeling the talent of our bestie Cheryl, and I was able to smash together some amazing collections – Shimelle’s Little By Little, Color Cast Designs Acrylic Hearts, and Pinkfresh Studio’s Let your Heart Decide!

And for the finishing touches I added in a few guest feature spots – rubber shapes by Dear Lizzy, the Love – acetate word by scrappin Diva Heidi Swapp and the You and Me flair by Cuts 2 Luv!
