Sequins, sequins, sequins!

This month I have the immense pleasure of guest designing with the SpiegelMom Scraps crew and I could not be happier for such an opportunity. I love sequins! I also love that they call folks like me who guest design or who are full time design team members .. Sparklers! Yah!

Sequins have taken over my scrapbooking world over the last year. Where I used to use little journal pen x’s or enamel dots or brads or even buttons in the good ole days – I now use sequins.

I was first introduced to the amazing sequin collections Jody over at SpiegelMom Scraps creates (btw she is the Spiegel Mom) in my very first month with The Wild Hare Kits. Included in my first ever The Wild Hare Kits Design Team collection last year was this little packet of sequin amazingness and I have never looked back – they are now a staple of my requests from Wild Hare, I am quick to hit”order” on any of SpiegelMom’s monthly pre-orders and just cannot imagine what I did before sequins came into my scrapbooking world. Sequins, you crafty complete me!

Jody sent me no less than 15 packs of sequins to play with this month – each little package is like a world of memory keeping possibilities! From your regular sequin with the little hole in the middle, to some that have a swirly-doo design and some that are shaped like stars, moons, butterflies, and more. Some of the collections even had little baby wood veneers in them – rainbows and even hearts! Oh and the little plastic moons!

I am off to create! But first maybe over to SpiegelMom Scraps, Free Cut Files to cut something special to play with – there is this wine glass cut file that is calling my name for a page from my pilgrimage in Spain and Portugal!
