This past weekend us Scrapstorian gals and our closest, scrappiest friends were together for a scrapbook retreat. I live a province away in British Columbia from the rest of our Alberta crew – so any weekend seeing my gals AND scrapbooking are absolutely priceless!
While making, creating, and chatting over the weekend we were pleased to see the Let’s Get Sketchy, June Sketch challenge went up on their blog. Yes, please! Here is a peek at the sketch:
A bunch of us decided to sketch along. The diagonal pattern paper at the top and the two circles behind the photo were a lot of fun to play with and we each took such a different take on the design! Love that!
First up, let’s show you Rosa’s take. Rosa is a bestie of us Scrapstorian gals and has guest posted with us before. This weekend she was working in a Traveler’s Notebook format for the first time (5×7 size) and wow did she find her groove! Here is her take on the sketch:
Rosa is using product from the Deluxe Kit she ordered from The Wild Hare Kits and is using one of my most favourite photos from our recent trip to Scotland together! I love how well this sketch translated to the smaller format and that instead of a crisp diagonal pattern on top, Rosa ripped her Dear Lizzy floral paper – perfect for bringing a floral pattern into an end of a sweaty, hiking day photo layout.
Great take on the sketch Rosa!
