As the 2018 calendar year wrapped up so did the Scrapbook and Cards Today (SCT) 365 2018 Course. The SCT 365 Courses are a year long class, January to December, that focus on creating a double page layout every month. On the 1st of each month a new class is released with a sketch, a layout based on the sketch by their design team for inspiration, a detailed PDF instruction sheet, the cut file used in the sketch, and a whole bunch of additional prompts, tips and teaching to get you getting it done. Wow!
I loved every class in this year long course. So much so that I have already signed up and completed the first class for SCT 365 2019. I found the multi-photo, double page layouts the perfect way to document those bigger events. Or to scrap the smaller moments where I just took way too many photos but still somehow couldn’t part with any.
I focused most of the months on a specific project, Scotland 2013. I had about 50-70 photos left (out of 100’s) to scrapbook of a hike my sister and I did in Scotland back in 2013. No joke, thanks to the SCT 365 course I completed the album. We all know how good it feels to complete a project and this one was 5 years in the making. I loved every second of scrapping it but I was keen to see the album completed. I love flipping through the album whenever I miss my sissy or Scotland or both!
If you are intimidated by double page layouts, love double page layouts, are a traditional scrapbooker in any size (every sketch is scale-able), and have some photos you really want to get onto pretty paper – this may be the course for you. SCT has no idea I am writing this post or doing a flip through video, so this is all straight from this scrapper’s heart.
Speaking of video, here is a quick flip through of all 12 of my SCT 365 2018 double layouts:
I thought I would also post an image of each for those you who prefer to scroll through a post vs get caught in the amazing-but-never-ending vortex of YouTube. If I have a specific blog post for the layout below, I have linked to it for you so you can see my supply list.
October (Cocoa Daisy, American Crafts, Bazzill Basics)
November (Jen Hadfield, Bella Blvd)
December (Cocoa Vanilla Studios, Bella Blvd)
The hardest thing for 2019 will be coming up with names for each of my monthly blog posts. All of my posts for SCT 365 2018 have the word double in them! Double, Double; Double Agent; Stunt Double; Double Up; etc.
If you are debating if the SCT 365 2019 is the right class for you, feel free to leave a comment below or on our YouTube video with any questions I might be able to answer for you.
