What a day it has been – so many amazing challenges, live videos, giveaways and more across all the social media channels (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook) and on so many websites and blogs. Overwhelming in the most amazing way!
Adventure …
I kicked off my iNSD with some Scrapbook and Cards Today inspiration!
I completed my layout for the SCT 365 2018 May class – such a great class!. I used the My Minds Eye, Wander collection with some Ki Self-Adhesive Metal Accents, Maggie Holmes Alphabet and American Crafts, Dear Lizzy – Star Gazer Paintable Large Chipboard Words. The layout is a perfect way to include all of those random, one-off, not worthy of their very own scrapbook page but you definitely want to scrapbook them in some way photos from my hike in Scotland with my sister in 2013.
Journey…
Next up on my iNSD celebration was some inspiration from Let’s Get Sketchy. I used the December 2017 – Different Places Cocoa Daisy Kit that I have been coveting for months and just recently had the opportunity to add it to my stash.
The Lets Get Sketchy May 1-2018 sketch challenge was perfect for the title page from my 2017 Spain and Portugal Camino Pilgrimage album. The Cocoa Daisy travel themed collection was the perfect touch for this pretty cool (well I think so) 8×8 photo – adding the Heidi Swapp wood veneer word was the icing on top!
This was not a iNSD challenge but rather LGS’ regular first of the month sketch challenge we love her at Scrapstorian. They also issue another sketch challenge on the 15th of each month.
Family …
Next, I circled back to Scrapbook and Cards Today Blog again to see what they were up to this hour of iNSD and decided to play along with their scraplift challenge. I created this page based on Nicole Nowosad’s scraplift (see below “hello beautiful girl” layout) of Stephanie Buice’s layout from the Spring 2018 Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine.
The Challenge was to use any layout from the Spring 2018 edition to scraplift and I liked Nicole’s / Stephanie’s grid concept so much I went with that! This is all Fancy Pants Designs, Office Suite collection with some American Crafts, Amy Tangerine Thickers.
Adventure (yup another one)…
While there, I also submitted my take on the Scrapbook and Cards Today iNSD Sketch Challenge. The sketch is a great PageMaps design that was included in the Spring 2018 edition of magazine as a result of the submission call.
I really enjoyed playing with this sketch for the submission call and of course really enjoyed how the Bazzill Basics Paper, Mac collection worked so well with some Evalicious flair and wood veneers, Heidi Swapp title, and Studio Calico geo-tags.
Siblings at Sea …
After a little time summer-izing the back deck, I got back at it in the afternoon with Scrapbook Nerd (an online scrapbooking store here in Canada). They have a Scrapbook Nerd FaceBook Friends Group with loads of iNSD challenge. The sketch challenge today featured big and little circle clusters and those are totally my scrap jam.
I used this layout to capture some selfie photos of me and my little siblings on a sailing excursion a couple summers ago – an event near and dear to my heart. The Pink Fresh Studio, Let Your Heart Decide collection was a perfect fit and looks really good with the Freckled Fawn, Black Puffy Script Alpha.
Throughout this day while alone in my B Hive (scraproom) I was with loads of iNSD celebrating ladies across the globe online!
I scrapbooked with Crafty Jen Schow! Ok not literally with her, while I think we could be scrap besties – we have never actually met. I was with her virtually today! She hosted loads of hours live on Facebook from her Facebook group Crafty Use It or Lose It. I had her live video playing on my iPad as I scrapbooked!
I also scrapbooked with Heather’s Crafty Life and her live You Tube event. I did not get a chance to catch her Live (cleaning the grime of our back deck to prep it for summer took hours longer than expected) but caught up with the recorded edition once I got back to my B Hive.
While iNSD is today, the challenges and opportunities to win continue for days! So if you missed out today or like me just couldn’t get to ALL the good stuff do not worry – keep clicking on those iNSD related posts and emails.
Happy iNSD!
