Explore, Here and There

On July 29, 2013 my sister Shar (also a fellow designer here at Scrapstorian) and I finished walking the Great Glen Way in Scotland.

The Great Glen Way is a 126km trail along the Caledonian Canal from Fort William to Inverness and is definitely a hike for everyone’s bucket list. I am almost done scrapbooking this awesome memory 5 years later with just a few pages to go, including our final day when we walked into Inverness (the finish line).

The Lets Get Sketchy March 15-2018 Sketch Challenge that features the angled pattern paper  element their design team is so famous for, and 3 photos with a spot for journaling is perfect for our finish line. Here is a look at the sketch:

Now here is my take on the sketch:

Are you digging that pattern paper and cardstock embellishment combo as much as I am? Oh yah, that is the new Crate Paper Here and There Collection and I have a total crush. You have been warned that many a blog post here on Scrapstorian in the coming weeks will be featuring the goodness of this collection.

I turned the journal spot in the sketch into another photo spot so had to find a different way to journal. Nothing a Simple Stories Photo Flip can’t fix! Here are the coordinating journal cards I created for the layout:

Pop on over to Let’s Get Sketchy for additional inspiration from their design team and to play along.
