Shar’s take on the sketch:

So here I am back again! Yep! (Working hard to catch the H-E-‘double-hockey-sticks’ up!)  This time, like Brande, I am also playing along with Stuck?! Sketches February 15-2018 Bonus Sketch….a fun nice one page LO using a two to three pattern background.

And here is my take:

Fear not I created a bonus journal card to go with the layout!

I wanted something fun and bright and youthful so I happily used Shimelle’s True Stories collection by American Crafts! Love her , love her colours, love her designs!! Complimented by We R Memory Keepers Enamel Shapes!

Thank you Stuck Sketches! You guys rock!

Brande’s take on the sketch:

Ok my turn to weave some magic with Stuck?! Sketches February 15-2018 Bonus Sketch!

My hubby and I are besties with a couple of brothers. This means I spend most of my social time out with 3 great guys. Hanging with these dudes is always fun, good for a bunch of laughs and at least some heckling but it is never good for photos. Guys just aren’t into taking selfies, food shots, foot photos, event or anything photos .

As a scrapbooker this is a major dent in my everyday scrapbook layouts so when they tolerate me asking for a photo, I am all over that! I had my shot back in December on a night out at our local neighbourhood pub and the photo turned out amazing!

With so few to scrapbook, I wanted to make sure I had a layout that allowed for a larger photo (I printed it in 5×7 format) and gave lots me room to  really showcase the photo. Well Stuck?! Sketches provides (as usual)! Laura’s Feb 15th sketch challenge was perfect.

Here is my take on the sketch using this unicorn of a photo of me and the guys:

You might notice the banners on the page – these are the well retired corrugated cardboard shapes from Close to My Heart. I have maybe 10 shapes left in my stash and I think that was the third package I bought and went through. I hate when products retire it seems it is always the stuff I love the most. Oh like their matte candy dots, sigh.

This layout also features the Bazzill Basics Mac CollectionBazzill Cardstock (Mysterious Teal), flair from Evalicious, Close to My Heart Waxy Flax (another retired product I weep over) and Heidi Swapp Acetate Words.

Thanks Stuck?! Sketches for yet another inspiring sketch. Our scrapbook albums are shaping into an Ode to Laura’s Sketch Talents … and we are PERFECTLY HAPPY with that!
