Beautiful with Let’s Get Sketchy

Yet another great sketch challenge with loads of inspiration from the talented team over at Let’s Get Sketchy. The mid-month December 2017 sketch features a single photo, a large title and multiple pattern papers. Here is a peek at the sketch:

At first I was thinking this sketch would be a great scraps buster with the 3 pattern paper suggestions. But I recently bought the Fancy Pants Designs, Office Suite collection and I was itching to use it so scrap busting went to the way side as I cracked open some new paper. Love that smell!

I also recently went out for a great ladies dinner out with some close friends and was keen to put our traditional, post-dinner, outside of restaurant selfies in my album. These gals are so fun and beautiful as heck inside and out  .. and they love a good filter! Yahoo!

Fancy Pants + selfies with my ladies + inspiring sketch = my “beautiful” layout:

The layout is almost all Office Suite by Fancy Pants. I added a piece of Bazzill Cardstock (Avalanche) as the background paper and the Heidi Swapp, Acetate Words – Gold Foil title and some other stickers from her various gold collections in my stash and voila.  Also, instead of making room in the layout for journalling, I added a journalling card which I will adhere to the page protector once in the album using Close to My Heart, Memory Protector Flip Flaps.

Funny, I had this sketch challenge printed in a black and white on my scrapbook desk and only when I started working on this blog did I realize that I not only used the sketch but also the colour scheme of the sketch! How fun (and weird) is that!

Pop on over to Let’s Get Sketchy to play with Brenshevia’s sketch and her colour scheme?
