Good Times

Last year our families converged from Alberta, British Columbia, Florida, and Connecticut in Mexico for an all family, all inclusive, all fun vacation! In between working on random up to date layouts these days, I am also making my way through the creation of our Mexico album memories.

For my latest Mexico layout featuring my crazy, amazing nephews jumping off of the side of the pool in ninja poses and such for my (Aunty B) waterproof camera to capture, I used the Stuck Sketches?! October 15, 2017 sketch challenge (below). A bit of a twist on my sketch use this month … I had a number of pictures of the same moment I wanted to put in the album, so I took some poetic license and expanded this one page sketch into a two page layout in my usual 12×12 classic format.

Here is the sketch:

Ok now here is my layout, page 1 based on the sketch:

And here is page 2 that I created to take this sketch / layout to a double page layout:

Finally, here is a quick look at how they look together – I think it worked! I only had one piece of that great Echo Park yellow pattern paper so I had to be a stealthy in cutting pieces away from the page 1 layout that I could then cover with other elements in order to use some it on page 2 to tie them together. Ninja pool pics and some ninja scrapbooking?

A big thanks to Stuck?! Sketches for the inspiration!
