In January, our family had the opportunity to converge from Vancouver, Calgary, Connecticut and Florida to Las Vegas! Having been there before and none of us party people, we tend to stay clear of what makes Vegas “Sin City” and act more like regular ol’ tourists. This time our tourist focus us took us to the Valley of Fire. This amazing landscape is just 40 miles or 40 minutes outside of Vegas and gives you a brief taste of what the Grand Canyon must boast – a place that is on my bucket list to hike.
Any who, to capture some of the pics (I took a few too many) of our venture through the Valley of Fire, I used the August 15, 2017 sketch challenge from Stuck?! Sketches. The double photo sketch was a great starter for me and I found the sketch super easy to add more photos to.
Here is a peek at the Stuck Sketches?! August 15, 2017 sketch challenge:
I was so excited to land on a colour palate for this layout that allowed me to use some of the awesome flair I have from Cuts 2 Luv like this “Adventure Awaits” in the image below and the “This Way” you can see near the top of the layout in the above image. The fact that the flair complimented one of my favourite sets from We R Memory Keepers, Indian Summer was a happy a bonus!
As usual I played too much on my page and didn’t have room for journaling – the best and most amazing part about any scrapbook – so I add my go-to adhesive journal flap by creating a journal card using the same Indian Summer collection. I will adhere this to the scrap page as a flap once it’s in its own protector.
Thanks again Stuck?! Sketches for the inspiration!
