Imagine that, Stuck?! Sketches second sketch challenge of the month is as great as the first reveal!
The July 15, 2017 sketch features one photo and suggests using a really bold strip of pattern down the page with some clusters of embellishments around the title and the photo. So many possibilities!
Here is the July 15, 2017 sketch from Stuck?! Sketches:
I have this one photo of my new wee, oh so cute nephew that was just perfect for such a layout – especially when that polka dot strip give me ‘permission’ to go a little crazy with my paper choices.
So, I didn’t even hesitate to pull out my much loved (and much hoarded) Bo Bunny Hello Sunshine Collection, released in 2012. Hello Sunshine is bright, fun and all about bees. Well my nickname is Bee and I love bright and fun so it is collection that I use sparingly because I never want to run out. My nephew in his cuteness is totally worthy of a page using my personal Hello Sunshine collection.
Here is my take on the sketch:
Most of the layout is from the Bo Bunny Hello Sunshine Collection (patterned paper, stickers, and brads) on a background of Bazzill Cardstock Blue Calypso, accented with Bo Bunny Poppy Dot and some fibre and enamel dots from my stash. Any layout featuring bees must of course also include hexagons using my favourite punch ever, the retired Stampin’ Up Hexagon Punch. I am bee addicted it seems.
I will be adding this sketch to my go-to sketch collection – aka my Scrapbook SMASH book which I keep in a recipe holder in my scrapbook room (aka Bee’s Hive). I have lots of scrapbooking kits from over the years that are down to just a couple pieces of paper and the tail end of the embellishments. I think this sketch will be a great way to get one more page out of these. Yahoo!
