You are Here

The April 1, 2017 sketch challenge with Stuck! Sketches is again another good one this month! It does feature a large heart (generally something I would not use for a layout) but in usual Stuck?! Sketches style, Laura Whitaker encourages anyone playing along to make it their own – so I did!

Here is the April 1, 2017 Stuck?! Sketches challenge:

Now here is my take on the challenge:

I turned that heart into a circle of sorts and used it to make the arched title “You Are Here” for my page and I think with the arrows as embellishments it really works! Of course using pretty much nothing but the Simple Stories, Urban Traveler collection helped – such a great collection!

I embellished the page in my usual style of a pile of bits, some enamel dots and some string.

I also had the opportunity to bring in some awesome flair I recently picked up from Paper and Spools – I just love the work Amy Jo does and have to admit I am always happy to support anyone who hails from my hometown Edmonton, Alberta!

Need more inspiration to play along with the April 1, 2017 Stuck?! Sketches sketch challenge? Pop over to their blog or Instagram account and the inspiration is endless – so many great pages!
