I have plucked up the courage to start scrapbooking my wedding pictures! (I have been intimidated for the last couple of years – we were married in 2014 – because I wanted each layout to be beyond perfect.) Ha! My own pressure that I put on me, all me – we all know how it is. But then it hit me, umm, duh if I hate a layout, I can print the pics again and try another route! Hello, epiphany.
With my new found freedom from self-imposed pressure, it was time to pull out the Simple Stories SN@P wedding set I have been hoarding for our wedding album. I loooove this set. All greys, light blue, browns and creams – so great! I have a bunch of awesome black and white photos from our wedding compliments of our photographer and one of our dearest friends Jaime Ready Photography that are screaming to be used with this Simple Stories set.
When the planets align … here is how I layered these SN@P “project life” like cards from Simple Stories to create a more classic 12×12 scrapbook layout featuring my groom and his groomsmen.
I used some of the more masculine, metallic bits from my stash, whic of course included some Tim Holtz (perfect masculine look), topped off with American Crafts Amy Tangerine thickers, and a sprig from the corsages I had made for the groom’s party.
The best part of this whole layout (beyond my hubby of course, lol) is that it was featured by Paper Issues, Fan Feature Friday blogpost on March 17, 2017! I am so chuffed, and super honoured to be featured by Paper Issues with so many other great scrapbookers this week!
