Okay, I love living in beautiful, super, natural British Columbia and I love hiking … and when those two worlds collide on a beautiful summer day, it’s epic. My happy place! No matter what a slog it is all the way up the trail, there is nothing more rewarding than the view from the top of Mount Erskine, Salt Spring Island.
The Creative Scrappers Sketch 303 (February Sketch Challenge) was a great way to showcase these two photos! Here is the sketch from Creative Scrappers:
Now here is how I used the sketch to inspire my layout for this photos:
My photos were bigger than in the sketch so I had to switch these up a bit but I still think it really works – the essence of the sketch is still clear and, well, any sketch that hints at using a circle has my attention!
I used a pretty old, long retired paper set (Typeset) from Close to My Heart – saving it for that special layout that called for raspberry and teal together, my favourite! I added some floss, a bit of mesh I had in my stash, and some random metal brads and clips also from my stash. All stuck down with my usual adhesive Tombow Mono Multi XL Liquid Glue.
If you ever make it over to Salt Spring Island off of Vancouver Island, I totally recommend this hike. Near the top it is known as the fairy door trail where there are this great, little fair doors on the trees randomly along the trail. I am a grown women, and still found it so cute and exciting.

Awesome LO! I love how the sky in the pics sticks out beyond the page, feels like you can jump it! Great colour choice and matching LO sketch to the right theme and photos!!!!
