Science Monsters

Last winter my siblings and I had a giggling good time at the Telus Science World here in Vancouver, and when Creative Scrappers unveiled their latest sketch challenge I knew it was the one! I needed a double layout though (I have 7 photos) but with the versatility of all of Creative Scrappers sketches, the sketch was still up to the task.

Here is the Creative Scrappers Sketch Challenge #279:

Creative Scrappers 279

Here is my take on the sketch:

Supplies: Heidi Swapp Specialty Paper (No Limits); Heidi Swapp Color Shine – Chartreuse; Studio Calico Mister Huey’s Color Mists; Fancy Pants Be Different (Button Set, Ticket Roll, Paper – Tweed, Paper – Mr. Plaid, Paper – My Style, Label Stickers, Sticker Fundamentals, and Brag Cards); Tsukineko Pigment Ink Brilliance Pearlescent Olive; Color Box Fluid Chalk – Blue Lagoon; Ranger Ink Distress Marker (Fired Brick); Mesh; Stampin Up Distress Tool; Twine, and Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue

As you can see I again used mists on these pages – seems to be my go-to lately. I think what I love most about mists is that you can use them to tint or colour paper or embellishments from one line, to match with another line of that same company or even a different company all together. This definitely opens up my scrapbook supplies to more possibilities as I am one of those scrapbookers that find it really challenging to mix products. Mists seem to be my elixir to this challenge. Yahoo!

Specifically for these pages I used paper from Heidi Swapp Specialty Paper (No Limits) 12×12 paper pack available at Michael’s as my background, and misted them with Heidi Swapp Color Shine – Chartreuse and Studio Calico Mister Huey’s Color Mists to bring the green and the blue from the Fancy Pants Be Different line that I used to embellish, matte, and journal my layout with.

Hope you like it. Thanks for swinging by our blog.
