Can you just believe it, TWO POSTS BACK TO BACK!
Yah! Thanks Ms. Gerber for another awesome sketch to work with – my glue cap goes off to you!
Love this photo, the memory of it is so fun, and this sketch suited my vision to a T!
With a little help from the Bazzill Paper Dino Mite set, my fav dynamic duo, the Mr. Holtz and Ms. Swapp team of awesomeness, mists and distress ink and stencils, my edge distresser and of course VersaMark Jumbo Java, I achieved the look I wanted! I was able to keep it rustic and textured but yet add the juvenile colour scheme to maintain the cuteness of this picture and the idea of the story.
AAAANNNNDDDD … wait for it, wait for it … I also added in a journaling spot. Oh, heck yes, I did! An authentic Brande tuck behind story teller special edition, giving me a special space to add all the details of my son finding a dip in the grass, pretending it was his nest and he was the Triceratops Daddy protecting his eggs! Cutest thing ever!
The triceratops fossil and cut out is from Dinosaur Tracks Circut Cutter. A little Versamark, some massaging, some sanding and a little crumpling, finished with slight misting, and it’s amazing what you can turn these paper shapes into!
Thanks for stopping in!
