This blog post brought to you by “break free of your colour comfort zone”!
Well, it is officially fall here in Vancouver, so I decided to break out my summer time photos and scrap stash to get me away from the grey skies and socked in rain clouds. Somehow, summer scrap stash turned into pastel scrap stash and all of a sudden I was working with product and colours I never thought were in my wheelhouse. I had these great Echo Park Sweet Day papers and stickers on hand (thanks to Design Team member Cheryl).
Here is the awesome October 1st Sketch Challenge from Stuck?! Sketches that inspired me:
And here is the PASTEL-out-of-my-colour-comfort-zone layout I came up with:
Supplies: Martha Stewart Crafts Gesso Primer (white); American Crafts Textured Cardstock (White); American Crafts Amy Tangerine Plus One Thickers (white); Echo Park – Sweet Day (Oh My Stripe); Echo Park – Sweet Day (Light Teal Orange); Echo Park – Sweet Day (Elemental Stickers); Fancy Pants – Be You (Chipboard Banners); and Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue
Thanks Stuck?! Sketches for yet another great sketch; and thanks for dropping by our blog.
