I love scrapbook sketch challenges that offer more than one picture to work with, and Scrapbook Challenges offers awesome challenges, most with more than one picture. Here is the sketch challenge I am working with (Scrapbook Challenges Sketch 410):
These are pictures of my little brother making a right-mess of himself jumping in the first mud puddles of spring. In Alberta this is a big deal … the snow may finally be leaving! We had so much fun – great pics and a bit of laundry to do after this. For me, a three picture layout is a great way to show a timeline or step by step event – so this sketch challenge instantly had me thinking of these three pictures.
Instead of the multiple buttons for journaling anchors suggested in the sketch, I went with just a pile of “boy” stuff from Simple Stories that matched the paper I selected.
One of my favourite things about these pictures is the absolute commitment my little brother made to puddle jumping. He approached each puddle at top rubber-boot-wearing speed. He jumped with everything those little legs and big boots would give him. He laughed as hard as you can believe, impressed with himself after making his epic splashes. To highlight just how committed to big splash he was, I circled the main photo where you can see he is air born.
Supplies: My Tattered Angels Plain Jane Simply Sheer Matte Mist (rich brown), Creative Memories Brown Dual Pen, Tsukineko Versa Magic Multi Surface Chalk Ink (Jumbo Java), Simple Stories Awesome (paper and stickers), Bo Bunny Vintage Double Dot (wild berry), DCWV Rub-on Stitches, American Crafts Amy Tangerine Plus One Thickers (white), Prima Marketing Inc Lady Bird Brads, Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue
