Well thank you again Nadia and Once upon a Sketch for a wonderful sketch!
My 12×12 patterned paper started out as a light tan; Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Tattered Angels Mist and Heidi Swapp Colour Shine, complimented by multiple stencils and stamps (the likes of The Crafter’s Workshop Chicken Coop, CTMH Distressed Background, Home Sweet Home and a random stamp from my sister) helped change that. The background is textured layered and I am so pleased with how it looks. The flower was also a light beige but using TH Distress Ink and water it blended into a new colour and into my background nicely. Note: The ribbon (a Micheal’s $1.50 bin buy) is coloured too; I used VersaMagic Dewdrop inks and changed the colour to suit the LO.
It’s tough to capture the true colours and textures in a picture but this was a technique expanding LO for me … thanks OUAS!
Love the distressing and textures!
Great job with the distressing and stamping. It is addictive once you start. I think you did great with all the layers. Love that family photo. Thanks for playing along with us at OUAS this month. Please remember to load your layout onto our OUAS FB page for another chance to win a prize.
