I must admit, I instantly loved this sketch when I saw the post on Lets Capture Our Memories – the little banners on the bottom, blossom embellishments and the amazing inspiration from their design team … I had to give it a try.  Too cute.

Here is Let’s Capture Our Memories Sketch 61:

I am not surprised I was instantly smitten with this sketch … it is designed by sketch guru Laura Whitaker who has her own great sketch challenge blog Stuck?! Sketches and creation blog Scrapping Around the Clock. I played along with Laura’s February sketch challenge on Stuck?! Sketches and am pleased to again play along with one of her sketches and the Let’s Capture Our Memories team.

The blossoms on the page are Maya Road Flowers Mini Chipboard Set which I coloured to match the Basic Grey patterned paper by spraying some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in White and Mustard and Ranger Ink Dylusions Ink Spray in Cherry Pie onto my craft mat and allowing them to mix into a pinky orange colour. Then flip them over and allow to dry.

I kicked the background paper up a notch with a couple of sprays of My Tattered Angels Plain Jane Simply Sheer Matte Mist (rich brown) but I only half depressed the sprayer so I would get some bigger drops; I then painted some Martha Stewart Crafts Gesso as an anchor for the layered photo matte.
