I am finally busting my September Scraptastic kit! I need to get if off my desk before December and, well, that’s tomorrow …
The ever brilliant Brande suggested we each work on three different challenges with the supplies from our respective kits. I chose the November sketch challenge from Canadian Scrapbooker, the triangle challenge from Catherine and Cathy Create and the Scrapbook Steals Mid-Week Mojo sketch.
Challenge #1 is all about circles.
I have been looking at the sketch all month, but the idea only came to me yesterday as I was loading new designs into my Silhouette software. “Replace the circles with globes!” I thought. I have adorable globe cut files from Two Peas in a Bucket just waiting for a layout, so I played around with the sizes and placement to create a background.
It came together really quickly. I stopped myself before adding more, because (for once!) I loved how it looked with less going on.
Challenge 2 is all about triangles. This took a little more thought …
In the end, I just went full on triangle and used strips from the last page to create the shape and lead to the title. I’m not quite sure it’s the vision I had in my head, but I’m going to sleep on it. 🙂
Challenge 3 is MWM Lolite Week 1.
And here it is! I love a good layered paper sketch.
I have some card stock, sequins, die cuts, flair and a cut apart tag sheet left from the kit. For some reason, very few of the included embellishments made it on these pages. They live to see another layout!
Great layouts Cheryl, I can’t pick a favourite! I must know … The wood grain background in sketch take 2 – what line is that? I need some!
Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper, the line is called Flea Market 🙂
