I went to my last scrapbook retreat with a list of techniques I wanted to try; embossed splatters topped that list. I love the look of ink and paint splatters but wanted to mix up the texture a little.
I used my VersaMark re-inker to drop dots of embossing ink along the right side of the page. I also dipped a paint brush into the ink and flicked it to get smaller spots. The ink is a little thick for that, but this is the kind of page that is all about experimenting. No perfection needed! I used Stampendous Fran•tage powder in several colours. (Oh, don’t forget to use a powder bag, embossing buddy, or even a dryer sheet, first!)
I quite like how it turned out, so this is a do-over technique. I added plenty of gold, glittery touches all over to repeat the metallic colours and used the same powder to cover the chipboard arrows.
Supplies: Echo Park/Glitz paper and stickers, Pink Paislee chipboard, Studio Calico badge, VersaMark ink, Stampendous Embossing Powder, Ranger Stickles, unknown wooden heart
