It’s Monday! That’s not exciting normally, but Mondays are my day to catch up on sketch challenges, layouts and all things crafty. This week, I tackled the Scrapbook Steals Mid-Week Mojo sketch, Monday Craft Madness and the Elle’s Studio weekly sketch.
Let’s start with the Elle’s Studio sketch. I was choosing papers for it, thinking I would complete the Steal sketch first. This one just seemed to create itself, though. Once I realized how easily it was coming together, I had to finish it. I wanted to call this “attack of the neutrals,” since it uses cream, white and grey but each colour (other than the background) appears more than once and make sense (at least to me). I moved the banner from the Elle’s Studio paper and changed its orientation by cutting it off and re-adhering it. It’s a simple layout to showcase a favourite photo.
Supplies: Elle’s Studio paper, Lilybee paper, Teresa Collins paper, We R Memory Keepers die cuts, Elle’s Studio cut outs, Elle’s Studio stamp, Colorbox ink
I had enough bits and pieces left after the layout to make a card and decorate an envelope for Monday Craft Madness. So cute!
Supplies: Recollections card base and envelope, Elle’s Studio paper, We R Memory Keepers die cut, Fiskars punch
The MWM sketch was a little more involved; I guess when one layout comes with no glitches, the next one has to have a few, right? The sketch seemed perfect for these photos, I just had trouble with the background papers on this one. (I blame it on the floral paper, which scares me.) Hey, at least I pulled out a collection I’ve been hoarding! I swear the layout is straight, I just can’t take a straight photo today. 😉
Supplies: Allison Kreft for Webster’s Pages paper and stickers, unknown washi tape
