Brushes cobwebs away … Hello? Anyone there?
Okay, that may be a tad melodramatic but I feel like I’ve been MIA for ages now. I had to quickly share what I’m working on right now, though, because it is just too much fun.
We’ve mentioned Crop Circles, the Facebook group we are all members of, many times. There are always great challenges and ideas to be found there. This time it’s a puzzle piece swap. Each participant bought a puzzle and sent pieces out to be altered and decorated. When all is said and done, we will each have a piece of amazing art! I cannot wait to start getting pieces back. Here are the pieces I’ve altered so far:
Supplies: Dear Lizzy for American Crafts chipboard (an older collection), Ranger Emboss It dadber, Stampendous embossing powder
Supplies: Dear Lizzy for American Crafts metal embellishment, My Mind’s Eye stickers, Ranger Emboss It dauber, Stampendous embossing powder
Supplies: 7gypsies stickers, Ranger Emboss It dauber, Stampendous embossing powder
Supplies: 7gypsies stickers, Recollections paper, unknown metal charm, Claudine Helmuth Multi-Medium, Adirondack paint, Tim Holtz distress ink
Supplies: My Mind’s Eye stickers, Ranger Emboss It dauber, Stampendous embossing powder, Crate Paper chipboard, Martha Stewart Crafts paint
Come on! How fun is that?!
I’ve been working on some very non-traditional Christmas cards too. Those are for a swap with the same lovely ladies. I trashed my first attempt, then saw this card on Pinterest and had to try it. (Close your eyes now, swappers, or ruin the surprise!) This is a great card to make in batches. It was so easy! Swipe one colour on all the card bases, then the next and so on. One all the paint is dry, ink the chipboard pieces and adhere. Adhere the die cut sentiment and done! I am planning to make more with some silver, pink and light blue paint and silver ink as well. I have already cut the word “joy” from white card stock in preparation.
Supplies: Recollections card base, Staples white card stock, Lobster font, Silhouette Cameo, Martha Stewart Crafts paint, Pink Paislee chipboard, Tsukineko ink
Since I’m here … I wanted to share the September kits we all received from Scraptastic, but time seems to be slipping by. It was my idea for all of us to order a kit, so we could share the layouts and reviews here. Oops. ;( I may have to just break the kit up and put it away with my supplies. (I really dislike things staring at me from my desk.) December Daily prep is calling! (I can’t believe I just said that.) I love the kits and will hopefully be a regular subscriber in the new year, so there will be some “kill the kit” posts then. 🙂
Thanks for coming by!
I’m starting…..starting to get a little bit excited about doing my puzzle pieces. I’m dragging just about everything to the retreat this year so I’m hoping to have fun with it. I adore all of your pieces so far…..I can’t wait to see what you do with mine!! (I promise to poke them in the mail soon haha).

WOW, wow…to it all!!!!!
