I love this month’s Canadian Scrapbooker sketch by Sue Sykes. It’s perfect for love or Valentine’s Day themes.
Oddly enough, I used it for a completely random theme …
I have some Stampin’ Up! papers that are really bright, vibrant and fun but they’ve been in my stash for a long time. I needed the right fun and somewhat silly photo. I decided on one that showcases a high ponytail that made my daughter look a little Whoville-ish. 🙂 Bright colours, fun hair and lots of patterns meant the layout was just crying out for a Dr. Seuss inspired title!
I stuck about as close to the sketch as I ever do, keeping the circles and hearts because they fit so well. The vellum layers between the papers tone down the craziness, just enough. I kept these patterns to use for another sketch, with some white to calm them down. I’ll keep you posted on that.
Have you played along with this month’s sketch?
